NextBet, PlayUp, and Draftstars will operate on a single, unified wagering platform. This means you have one unified account and that any wagering limits, responsible gambling settings, account restrictions, promotional offers, or bonuses will apply universally across all three brands. These conditions cannot be separated, duplicated, or bypassed by wagering on multiple platforms.

From 11:59pm AEDT on Saturday 28th February, The PlayUp App and Website will be taken offline. Your account will be temporarily unavailable while we complete the transfer, which is expected to take a few hours on the morning of Sunday 1st March.

For Draftstars Customers
From 11:59pm AEDT on Saturday 28th February, The Draftstars App and Website will be taken offline. Your account will be temporarily unavailable while we complete the transfer, which is expected to take a few hours on the morning of Sunday 1st March.
We’ll notify you via SMS and email once your NextBet account is ready to use.
Draftstars contests scheduled for Sunday 1st March 2026 will not be posted until migration is finalised. While we’ll upload contests as quickly as possible, some early events may not be available in time.
Events most likely to be impacted include:
- NRL season opener (Knights v Cowboys)
- NBA contests
- Golf events
- Horse Racing
- Selected NRL and AFL preseason matches
For CrossBet Customers
From 11:59pm AEDT Thursday 26th February, the CrossBet app and website will be taken offline and your account will no longer be accessible as we begin the secure transfer to NextBet.
On the morning of Sunday 1st March, NextBet will officially launch and your account will be transferred. We’ll notify you via SMS and email once your NextBet account is ready to use.
If you’d like to place a bet during this downtime, you can use PlayUp. Your PlayUp and CrossBet accounts will automatically merge once the transition is complete.
Will I be notified when my account has moved?
Yes. You’ll receive notifications 14 days before the migration, the day prior, and again once your account transfer to NextBet is complete.
What happens to the PlayUp brand after the migration?
The PlayUp brand will remain accessible at www.playup.com.au. However, we strongly recommend transitioning to www.nextbet.com.au and the NextBet mobile apps to enjoy the latest features, updates, and promotions.
NextBet, PlayUp, and Draftstars will operate on a single, unified wagering platform. This means you have one unified account and any wagering limits, responsible gambling settings, account restrictions, promotional offers, or bonuses apply universally across all three brands. These settings and offers cannot be separated, duplicated, or bypassed by wagering on multiple brands.
What happens to the CrossBet brand after the migration?
The CrossBet brand will be retired once the migration is complete. All customers can continue betting under the NextBet brand moving forward.

How do I log in to NextBet for the first time?
PlayUp Customers
Once the migration is complete, you’ll be prompted to update your PlayUp app the next time you open it. This update will automatically turn your existing PlayUp app into the new NextBet app.
After updating, simply open the app (or visit www.nextbet.com.au) and log in using your existing PlayUp username and password.

CrossBet Customers
Once the migration is complete, you’ll need to download the NextBet app from your app store.
After downloading, you’ll need to set a new password using the same email address linked to your CrossBet account.

What happens to my PlayUp balance?
Your full PlayUp account will be transferred to NextBet, including your cash balance, bonus balance, pending bets, and rewards settings. Everything moves with you automatically - no action required.
What happens to my CrossBet balance?
Your full CrossBet account will be transferred to NextBet, including your cash balance, bonus balance, and pending bets. Everything moves across automatically - no action required.
Will my bonus bets transfer to NextBet?
Yes, your entire bonus bet balance will be automatically transferred to NextBet, so you can continue using your bonus without interruption.
Will my pending bets transfer to NextBet?
Yes, all pending bets from both PlayUp and CrossBet will be automatically transferred to NextBet, so they’ll be settled as normal.
Will my pending Draftstars entries transfer to NextBet?
Yes, all pending Draftstars entries will be automatically transferred to NextBet, so you’ll still have access to all your active contests.
Will my deposit limits or responsible gambling settings transfer?
Yes, all deposit limits and responsible gambling settings will be transferred to NextBet. For customers who hold both PlayUp and CrossBet accounts, the more conservative limits will automatically apply.
Can I still view my account history and transactions?
Yes, your full account history and transaction records will remain available in your Account Profile. Simply go to Menu → Cash Transactions in the app or website.
Payments & Deposits
Do I need to re-enter my payment details?
Yes, to protect the security of your payment information, you’ll need to re-enter your debit card details when you first deposit with NextBet.
Please note that PayID, BPAY, and EFT details have also changed, so be sure to use the new payment information provided in your NextBet account.

Do I need to download a new app if I’m a PlayUp customer?

What happens to the Draftstars app on my phone?
